This is a comprehensive residential project in a South Tulsa neighborhood I have been consulting on the past twelve months. The project includes a new addition, pool makeover and a complete remodel of the existing home. Beginning with client goals, I worked on a conceptual design, developed schematic plans, and picked red lines on construction documents. The new addition will add about 1,200 Sq. Ft. to the existing home and is estimated to be completed by April 1, 2020.
The Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is a growing provider of services for frail older adults nationwide. PACE settings provide an innovative day setting alternative to care in nursing homes. The objective is to help aging adults seeking a long-term care facility. It is a non-profit operation that provides healthcare services. The PACE Program in Downtown Stillwater will become an Oasis that enhances the concept of interdependence and encourages social interactions. The goal of this program is to create an environment that allows individuals to age with grace, dignity, and independence as much as possible. This design focuses on making end-users feel respected, valued, and loved. The end goal of this design is to establish a method that allows users to age in place and with grace.
The Atherton Hotel is an existing business on the campus of Oklahoma State University. The objective of this project was to develop renovation proposals for the current building. The goal for the Atherton was to emphasize on curvilinear shapes, color play, and lighting techniques. The “Power of Sculpture'' manifested within the development process of this hotel. The use of shapes deeply affects the subconscious through elements as they explore the sensuality of curves and natural objects. Bringing the Atherton in line with modern expectations of luxury, this design symbolizes America’s brightest orange.
The Hudson House was a school project for a residential home with requirements to meet the needs of a disabled elderly couple planning for retirement. Working together with a group, we were given a client profile and a task to create a suitable living environment, furniture pieces, and lighting fixtures to present in virtual reality. I took inspiration from a diversity of African tribes reflecting deeper into their art and culture for this project. The primary focal point was aimed towards the seven principles of Universal Design and creating an environment that is accessible, usable, and convenient to benefit all end users.
The objective of this project was to design a retail industry store in downtown Stillwater, Oklahoma. Juice Box was designed as an innovative remodel project based on the site analysis in a college town. The intention of this store is to promote healthy and happy living by creating an environment targeted for students as a fun place to relax, socialize, and study off-campus. Crafting perfect recipes with incredible taste leads to the perfect balance.
